Chakra Kawartha Lakes - Based to the Hindu tradition, the chakras are areas of biophysical or metaphysical energy in the human body. There are seven primary chakras, and many consider in additional minor chakras situated within the body system. Some modern day believers have drawn parallels between the major organs of the endocrine system plus the chakra system.

A series of lotus flowers ascending the spine to the crown of the head symbolize the seven major chakras. Each chakra has a component, plus an associated colour plus source of energy and every lotus has a selected amount of petals. As the chakras proceed from the lowest to the highest, they govern more and more spiritual functions. As a person becomes extra spiritually conscious, they become in touch with the upper chakras one by one. The bottom chakra relates to probably the most primary physical concerns, while the highest represents enlightenment.

The Root Chakra is claimed to be situated at the base of the spinal column. It's considered to symbolize basic instincts, survival and feelings of security. The root chakra is associated with the element of earth and the colour red. It's regarded to be a 4 petal lotus.

On the pelvis sits the Sacral Chakra. It's associated with creativeness, emotions plus sexual power. This chakra is associated with the element water and the colour orange and is typified by a 6 petal lotus flower.

The Solar Plexus chakra is situated in the area where the thorax and the stomach meet. It governs mental function, power and digestion. The solar plexus chakra colour is yellow and its' component is fire. It's symbolized by a 10 petal lotus.

The Heart Chakra is said to control concern and affection and it is associated with the chest region incorporating the lungs. The heart chakra is said to the colour green and the element of air. Its lotus has twelve petals.

interaction, Self-expression, progress are all related to the Throat Chakra. It's represented by a sixteen petal lotus and is associated with the element of sound or life and the colour blue.

Another name for the Brow Chakra is the third eye. It controls perception and instinct and it represented by a two petal lotus. Its colour is indigo and it is related to the component of light or time.

The Crown Chakra is thought to be the link to the divine or to represent the pinnacle of religious consciousness. Symbolized as a violet or white lotus having a thousand petals, its associated component is space or thought.

Kawartha Lakes is a municipality in the eastern central portion of Ontario, Canada. Its main population centres include: Woodville, Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, Lindsay, and Omemee. Its name is taken from "kawatha," a shortened version of the Ojibwen term, "gaa-waategamaag," that translates to "shining waters." Kawartha Lakes was created by the Progressive Conservative government of Ontario during the year 2000. It was a merging of municipalities of the previous Victoria County, that came into effect during the month of January the year 2001.
